Active use of this tools has been observed. The attack can be done remotely and with a modest number of requests can cause very significant memory and CPU usage on the server. The default Apache HTTPD installation is vulnerable. There is currently no patch/new version of Apache HTTPD which fixes this vulnerability. This advisory will be updated when a long term fix is available. A full fix is expected in the next 48 hours. Mitigation: ============ However there are several immediate options to mitigate this issue until a full fix is available: 1) Use SetEnvIf or mod_rewrite to detect a large number of ranges and then either ignore the Range: header or reject the request. Option 1: (Apache 2.0 and 2.2) # Drop the Range header when more than 5 ranges. # CVE-2011-3192 SetEnvIf Range (,.*?){5,} bad-range=1 RequestHeader unset Range env=bad-range # optional logging. Several 10's should not be an issue and may be required for sites which for example serve PDFs to very high end eReaders or use things such complex http based video streaming. 2) Limit the size of the request field to a few hundred bytes. Note that while this keeps the offending Range header short - it may break other headers; such as sizeable cookies or security fields. LimitRequestFieldSize 200 Note that as the attack evolves in the field you are likely to have to further limit this and/or impose other LimitRequestFields limits. Denial of Service Vulnerabilities in Cisco Intercompany Media Engine
Two denial of service (DoS) vulnerabilities exist in the Cisco Intercompany Media Engine. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending crafted Service Advertisement Framework (SAF) packets to an affected device, which may cause the device to reload.

Cisco TelePresence Recording Server Software Release 1.7.2.0 includes a root administrator account that is enabled by default. Successful exploitation of the vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to use these default credentials to modify the system configuration and settings.

Description
CVE: CVE-2011-2726
Access bypass in private file fields on comments.
Drupal 7 contains two new features: the ability to attach File upload fields to any entity type in the system and the ability to point individual File upload fields to the private file directory.
If a Drupal site is using these features on comments, and the parent node is denied access (either by a node access module or by being unpublished), the file attached to the comment can still be downloaded by non-privileged users if they know or guess its direct URL.
This issue affects Drupal 7.x only.

Solution
Install the latest version:
- If you are running Drupal 7.x then upgrade to Drupal 7.5 or
7.67.7.
The Security Team has released both a pure security update without other bug fixes and a security update combined with other bug fixes and improvements. You can choose to either only include the security update for an immediate fix (which might require less quality assurance and testing) or more fixes and improvements alongside the security fixes by choosing between Drupal 7.5 and Drupal 7.6 7.7. Cisco ASR 9000 Series Routers Line Card IP Version 4 Denial of Service Vulnerability
Cisco 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers (ASR) running Cisco IOS XR Software version 4.1.0 contain a vulnerability that may cause a network processor in a line card to lock up while processing an IP version 4 (IPv4) packet. As a consequence of the network processor lockup, the line card that is processing the offending packet will automatically reload. Cisco has released a free software maintenance upgrade (SMU) to address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds for this vulnerability.
Cisco SA 500 Series Security Appliances Web Management Interface Vulnerabilities
Cisco SA 500 Series Security Appliances are affected by two vulnerabilities on their web-based management interface. An attacker must have valid credentials for an affected device to exploit one vulnerability; exploitation of the other does not require authentication. Both vulnerabilities can be exploited over the network. Cisco has released free software updates that address these vulnerabilities. Workarounds that mitigate these vulnerabilities are available.
