Several flaws were found in the processing of malformed web content. A web page containing malicious content could cause Firefox to crash or, potentially, execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running Firefox.

A flaw was found in the way Squid handled malformed HTTP Range headers. A remote attacker able to send HTTP requests to the Squid proxy could use this flaw to crash Squid. A buffer overflow flaw was found in Squid’s DNS lookup module. A remote attacker able to send HTTP requests to the Squid proxy could use this flaw to crash Squid.

A man-in-the-middle attacker could use this flaw to spoof an SSL server using a specially crafted X.509 certificate.

WordPress Releases Security Update

WordPress 3.9.2 has been released to address multiple vulnerabilities, one of which could allow a possible denial of service issue in PHP’s XML processing. WordPress 3.7.3 or 3.8.3 users will be updated to 3.7.4 or 3.8.4. Users operating older, unsupported versions of WordPress are encouraged to upgrade to 3.9.2.
US-CERT recommends users and administrators review the WordPress Maintenance and Security Release blog  and apply the necessary updates.
